Much could be written about the brilliance of the writing, the skill of the acting, the beauty of the cinematography, the set design, the music, and the director’s creativity. But the most important thing to take away from this project is that we don’t have a problem with any element of the artwork. We don’t have a problem with the script, nor with ideas, nor is it the notion that talented actors are scarce. Our only problem is an awareness of the value of the artwork and the importance of each element being given its due time. If we give everyone in the industry the necessary time, and they contribute the necessary effort, the work will turn out beautifully as we see it.

Thank you to Saad Hendawy, Mohamed Farid, Zaki Aref, Sameh Anwar, Aziz El-Shafei, and everyone who played their part correctly in this system. And a sincere thank you to the producer, Ibrahim Hamouda, who did something very simple: he let everyone do their job properly.

Here, I must mention the truly professional and drama-loving producer, Mr. Ibrahim Hammouda. Without him, this work would not have been produced with such mastery, sincerity, and evident passion, making it an important work in the history of Egyptian drama.

The series “Fat Al Miead” (The Appointment Has Passed) is a product of a producer, director, and writer. It’s about crafting drama with understanding, passion, love, and a delightful, slow, and masterful touch. The art of drama is far greater than just a script; it’s a captivating blend of diverse elements, where the beginning and end are unpredictable. It’s about guiding the economics of drama to create a complete and innovative work that fills any potential gaps. “Fat El-Meead” is an extension of important, engaging, and successful social dramas that resemble what lies beyond people’s shining eyes. It succeeds because it’s about them and endures because they are part of it.

It simply slips into people’s homes without pretense or involvement in lies. It shows people as they should be, not just as they should be. Then there are the actors, whose roles are equalized thanks to the production, direction, and writing, allowing them to shine with pure joy. Creativity can proceed in a straight line without the aid of violence and vulgarity, and every piece of literature can be successful in and of itself.

Music, photography, costumes, set design, editing, title sequence—nothing sings in isolation.
