We Benna Mead

I’m not surprised that Hani Kamal continues to showcase his talent for writing sophisticated, realistic social dramas. After the success of “Abu El Arousa,” he presents “We Have a Date” with the same mastery, fluidity, and depth… and his skill in crafting messages between the lines remains. Bravo to the entire team: acting, directing, and production… A truly Egyptian production

We Benna Mead

The series “Fat Al Miead” (The Appointment Has Passed) is a product of a producer, director, and writer. It’s about crafting drama with understanding, passion, love, and a delightful, slow, and masterful touch. The art of drama is far greater than just a script; it’s a captivating blend of diverse elements, where the beginning and end are unpredictable. It’s about guiding the economics of drama to create a complete and innovative work that fills any potential gaps. “Fat El-Meead” is an extension of important, engaging, and successful social dramas that resemble what lies beyond people’s shining eyes. It succeeds because it’s about them and endures because they are part of it.

It simply slips into people’s homes without pretense or involvement in lies. It shows people as they should be, not just as they should be. It offers a chance to make life more beautiful, even in its most bleak moments. It’s an open window illuminating the darkness. Then there are the actors, whose roles are equalized thanks to the production, direction, and writing, allowing them to shine with pure joy. These are actors of flesh and blood, with souls and spirits, all of whom transform the work into a work of art with their enchanting performances. Creativity can proceed in a straight line without the aid of violence and vulgarity, and every piece of literature can be successful in and of itself.

Music, photography, costumes, set design, editing, title sequence—nothing sings in isolation. A work retains a secret key to transforming the economics of a project into a complete and flawless endeavor. This is a task mastered only by a select few who love the profession and the demanding task of creating a refined art form that reflects a great society.

The producer is paramount. What distinguishes the series “Fat Al Miead,” and is fundamental to drama, is the presence of a smart producer who provides all the necessary material and technical resources and removes all obstacles for the director and the crew. Here, I must mention the truly professional and drama-loving producer, Mr. Ibrahim Hammouda. Without him, this work would not have been produced with such mastery, sincerity, and evident passion, making it an important work in the history of Egyptian drama.
